This course is aimed at experienced painting inspectors who wish to upgrade to BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1. It is therefore structured to primarily deal with advanced offshore coating systems and associated working methods. Revision of onshore painting systems, including information to BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 2 requirements is also included in the first two days. The course content includes revision of Grade 2 and 3 subject areas, paint technology - advanced, paint testing - advanced, insulation, quality assurance, offshore working practices environment and safety, offshore structures, offshore painting standards and related normative documents, terminology used offshore, fire proofing.
