Course info
Combined Honours: For each subject, pre-final year contributes up to 30% towards your final degree classification. For some subjects, the placement year will constitute part of this element, 30-50% of your overall assessment will be by continuous assessment, depending on your particular subjects. In Biology the first year is broadly based, the second and third years incorporate more advanced modules, and the final year incorporates an individual dissertation. There is the option to take a year out in a paid professional placement. Graduates are eligible for Graduate Membership of the Institute of Biology (GIBiol). In Politics you will gain a general understanding of the institutions, processes and concepts of politics, with an emphasis on European Politics. The aims of the programme are to provide theoretical understanding of politics in general and concrete knowledge of policies and institutional processes.
