Combined Honours: For each subject, pre-final year contributes up to 30% towards your final degree classification. For some subjects, the placement year will constitute part of this element, 30-50% of your overall assessment will be by continuous assessment, depending on your particular subjects. There is the option to take a year out in a paid professional placement. Chemistry will introduce you to new and exciting branches of the subject. You will study the composition, structure, reactions and properties of substances and their uses in applied and industrial chemistry. You will be eligible to become a Licentiate of the Royal Society of Chemistry (LRSC). In Politics you will gain a general understanding of the institutions, processes and concepts of politics, with an emphasis on European Politics. The aims of the programme are to provide theoretical understanding of politics in general and concrete knowledge of policies and institutional processes.
