This course will help the students to develop abilities in IT, through effective use and combination of the knowledge and skills gained in different parts of the qualification. This course provides access into the IT industry where some previous experience is necessary to gain employment. It also provides a suitable qualification to progress to a range of further study at level 2 and supports progression into further education, training or employment. Successful students can study the Diploma in Digital Applications at level 2.

Students should possess Entry Certificate in Skills for Working Life or Life Skills, an appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy, GCSEs at grade D or above.
