Course info
This course is designed to teach students basic food preparation and cooking techniques to an industrial standard. They will learn about preparation and cooking of the following areas: Meat, fish, and vegetables. In addition to practical work, students attend theory lessons, which underpin all practical work, and also cover the following topics: - Health and safety, teamwork, food safety in preparation, cooking and storage.

£225; £54.50 for Level 1 registration and Certificate.

Assessment method
Assessments are made through practical assessments and completion of underpinning knowledge questions.

Equipment and Materials
Students should bring apron, oven cloth, tea towel, large chopping knife, small prep knife, vegetable peeler, desert spoon, teaspoon and suitable Tupperware or food containers to transport food home.
