Course info
This is a combined research and taught programme.The programme includes: the thesis; two core courses; research training. The thesis must be not more than 20,000 words. In the first semester a core course on historical methods is taken and in the second semester a course focusing on methodological issues specific to the particular programme is taken.

How much will it cost?
Fees for 2008/09: taught full-time: £4200; part-time: £2100; research full-time £3240-£3350; part-time: from £1620. Students should contact the Financial Support Office for further details, regarding fees or bursaries.

Entry Requirements
Applicants for research degrees should normally have a first-class or upper second-class Honours degree/ postgraduate taught degree in a relevant discipline. English Language requirements: 7.0 with no less than 6.5 in any band for IELTS and TOEFL 600/250 plus TWE 4.0.
